Our History:

Many Wrongs Don’t Lead to a Right

We try to protect our children and make decisions daily to ease their growing up and transition to adulthood. This is especially true when we know our children will face obstacles due to a disability. I recall when I lied to my son when he was ten years old, and I still think about it. I thought the circumstance made it the right thing to do, hoping things would change by the time he reached adulthood, but I am unsure all these years later if it was the right decision.
A little background.

Years ago, while working at a Fortune 500 company, my former employer-determined that everyone was required to work 12-14-hour days, including weekends, for the next eight weeks. I went to my supervisor and only then revealed a medical condition due to a childhood injury and the impact this schedule would have on my health. Rather than finding some common ground, I was let go and treated poorly. My son was old enough to understand and concerned because he has a language disorder that will cross his lifespan. Given what happened to me, he worried he would not find a job. I told him most people are kind and would object to what happened to me if they knew the circumstances.

A Long Way to Go

Not enough has changed since he was ten years old. When I reassured my son years ago, I did not know that hiring practices would barely evolve. Hiring managers continue to focus on specific attributes, are unable or unwilling to consider candidates' positive qualities, and are concerned it will be risky to hire someone with a disability. As an HR professional, I know two things: it's a risk to hire anyone, and it's never appropriate to tell an applicant they're not a cultural fit.

With that perspective, we founded Iterators LLC, which has an inclusive workforce. Our employees enjoy working for a company that focuses on their skill sets, not whether they interview a certain way or fit a predetermined profile. Our employees can have meaningful jobs and a level of independence everyone wants.

Iterators' commitment.
Iterators can provide high-quality software testing services for any business, size, or industry. Our employee's experience in testing techniques makes us different. Including the owners, we have 25+ years of experience in software testing. We believe in healthy relationships with our clients and employees. Maintaining these standards builds a better community.

Her efforts helped create Iterators LLC, a woman-owned small business certified by the SBA, allowing for federal government awards. We currently work for companies in financial services, higher education, climate companies, marketing firms, and nonprofits. Currently, we are working on a federal award for the Library of Congress, which will end after 2.5 years in 2025. We complete software testing on websites and mobile apps, including Accessibility testing WCAG 2.2, Section 508, and PDF Remediation services for increased Accessibility for all.
